The Friends of Kurth Kiln received a Grant from Parks Victoria to create a Portable Display for the six donated Gas Producers and other cultural heritage equipment. The display was constructed from Stratco Tubular Steel Fencing attached to a wooden base. The Friends of Kurth Kiln are pleased to now be able to display the various items with suitable description and appropriate acknowledgement in a safe and secure environment.
The material was purchased shortly before Christmas and construction started with a special working bee on Monday 21 December and the assembly completed in a series of working bees to 18 January 2010. Some pictures taken during this time are shown below:
